In Indore, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, recently proudly unveiled a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College's Super Specialty Hospital. He also inaugurated a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College, costing approximately Rs 6 crore. The advanced CT scan machine, a generous donation from the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, will greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. Chief Minister Yadav cut the ribbon for the CT scan room and received a briefing on the machine's features. In addition to addressing space constraints identified by the Dental Council of India, the new building at the Dental College was constructed by the Public Works Department. The state government is also installing an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation to benefit undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as outpatients.
Chief Minister Yadav emphasized that these new medical facilities demonstrate the government's dedication to enhancing healthcare services in the state. The advanced CT scan machine is expected to facilitate early disease detection and accurate diagnoses. Meanwhile, the new building at the dental college will provide students with access to top-notch facilities. During his visit, Yadav also inspected the upcoming ISBT at MR-10, which is set to be operational by December. He announced plans for Indore to host India's largest inter-state bus terminal, designed as a state-of-the-art facility resembling an airport. This terminal is poised to become a significant landmark for Indore and the state, enhancing the state's infrastructure.The construction of a new 15-acre terminal, costing Rs 101 crore and built by IDA, is set to enhance the travel experience for passengers, especially with the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering. The terminal can handle up to 80,000 passengers daily and accommodate 1,440 buses around the clock. It features 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and other amenities. Furthermore, the CM inaugurated a new library at Holkar Science College and assured employees at the Sanchi Dairy Plant that no layoffs would occur, emphasizing the government's commitment to boosting the state's dairy sector and supporting dairy cooperatives. Another event saw the unveiling of a statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi at the city forest to honor her community's environmental protection efforts. Additionally, during his visit to Indore, the CM sought blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which included blood tests for around 50,000 people.
